Chelmsford TUC



At the April meeting of Chelmsford TUC delegates, once again, reiterated their support for the Junior Doctors strike and prepared themselves for a busy few weeks. Two events will be held on April 28 - Workers’ Memorial Day. The first will commence at 12.30pm in Central Park, close to the lake and railway viaduct. The guest speakers will be Mark Barter from Unite and Kam Singh from Thompsons Solicitors. We will also have a health & safety poster display in Remembrance Square outside Chelmsford library. In the evening at 7.30pm a rally will be held at Christ Church. The guest speakers will be Junior Doctor Ananna Rahman, Charlotte Bence, Unite Young Workers’ Committee, and Mehmet Aksoy from the Kurdish Solidarity Movement.
Then, on 25 May at 7.30pm in Christ Church, New London Road, we will be holding a debate on the EU Referendum with speakers representing both sides of the debate.
